LAWRENCE GOWAN

Born in Scotland, Lawrence was raised in Toronto, Ontario Canada from a very young age. Classically trained in piano at the Toronto Conservatory, he pursued a career in music, which led him to signing a contract with CBS Records (Sony Music Canada) in the very early '80s. His first album "Gowan" was released in 1982, but it was his hit album "Strange Animal" released in 1985, which gained him commercial success. Gowan has won many Canadian Musical awards and high praise from critics and his peers over the years. His one and only acting role came about when part of the film crew had worked with Gowan on an earlier video shoot. His success still continues today as a new member of the band Styx.
